Does anyone know of a finished MOD?

Does anyone know of any MODs that have been finished? Whats the deal with getting hold of one, are they sold or just downloaded off the net? Ive seen several brilliant looking ones recently (esp Halflife and Quake MODS) but have never met anyone who has ever played one (?).

I've played about 50 HL mods, mostly single player. They Hunger, USS Darkstar, Todesangst, Assault on Roswell, Case Closed, and many others. But I do play some multiplayer mods too (CS, TFC, DoD).
I don't believe you've never met a person who's played a mod before, you must not know very many people. Why don't you try making your own mod?

yeah, about all I play is mods. Take Tribes 2 for instance, I don''t like the game, but a mod came out call Base that corrected everyone''s complaints, and it''s great. Counter-Strike is a mod. Urban Terror is one of the best for Q3.
