I recently decided to make a small, windowed tic-tac-toe game. Only I chose to focus purely on GDI and Win32, this has caused screen tearing problems (never seen tearing till'' now, but it sure looks like it ). So far I haven''t found how to prevent tearing on MSDN, excluding the use of Ddraw. Is there away to prevent tearing without Ddraw''s DDWaitForVerticalBlank function?
