I don’t have $ for 3ds Max or Maya. So I’ve been looking for a free (or cheap) modeler Gmax is nice but it cant export to any other format so it’s not much good So I was wondering if anyone know of a good modeler? Arrg!!

There are many choices, but the best seem to be OpenFX (http://www.openfx.org) and blender (http://www.blender3d.com).

I quite like truespace, V2 and 3 can frequently found on cover disks and i am sure version 4 may be free soon.
