My new demo is up!

I just finished another beta version of my game, Extreme Guerrillas. I almost started working on new projects, but I decided I better start trying to finish this one first. Anyway, this is still a buggy demo version. I''m up to version .2 now! Some features were taken out from the old version (if anyone ever played it), like scrolling. I thought the scrolling was overkill; it made the game too hard and it was a bit annoying, plus it took up more memory, so now the game fits on one screen. I also took out the fast text blitter that I wrote because I was having some problems trying to use different fonts, so this release only uses slow GDI text but I''ll try to put my text blitter back in the next release and eliminate the GDI. *New* features in this release include: + Destructable terrain + Full control over the player when he gets to do his special move (try hitting the bird to see what I mean) It still has the same ugly graphics and the same funky sounds, and you can still only choose Mr. T, Coconut Monkey, and the gorilla as your fighters. I''m also still looking for an artist to help me with backgrounds and maybe some of the fighter sprites. Enough hype, click here to download the game. It''s about 1.1 megabytes. Just unzip all the files in the zip into one directory. Please give me criticism, suggestions, comments, and tell me if it works on your computer. It only requires DirectX 7. I''m gonna go bowling now. Later, Al

As Mr.T would say, Helluva fun ! I love it =)
As for suggestions, the only idea i have would be to add an arrow that extends from the current player to represent the angle and velocity. The arrow would change its angle as the player changed his angle, and it could be streched for different values of speed. Can''t really think of anything else, but I''m looking forward to the next version.
Great Work !
Thanks for the suggestion. People have given me that suggestion before but I just keep forgetting to implement it. It shouldn''t be too difficult. I''ve started working on something else, but hopefully I''ll get a new demo done soon.
