Poking around in the game developer scene, it's always interested me.
Currently I'm working on a general 3D game physics engine called Indigo Frost. It will not be optimized for anything very specific, but it will be fairly extendable, open source and most importantly, easy for aspiring game programmers to use in their own game engines.
After I'm done with that, I have a couple of ideas for games that I'm going to try my hand and make a demo or two, and see how it goes from there.
One step at a time, but game programming really does look quite fascinating.
