Absolutely nothing to report... sort of.

I have been working very hard on [PROJECT], but apparently I'm not allowed to talk about it, so I'm going to post a rather random journal entry to top off a very long day.

Skirmish Online

Hopedagger, a former journal-land regular before getting his own site has been working on various projects for a very long time, and I have had the pleasure of doing art for him before(see that sick background- all this guy).

To make a long story short, I will be improving and replacing some of the art in his current project, Skirmish Online. It's a multiplayer online top-down shooter. And my sentences are getting really short. I'm particularly interested in drawing the weapons and player sprites, because I looove drawing guns (and animating people is pretty rewarding).

Yah, I'm excited. Now if only I would get [PROJECT] finished...

Thomas Hainline AKA Sir Sapo

As you should have heard, Sir Sapo has left for the Air Force Academy to pursue his dream of becoming the coolest person in existence ("I fly fighter jets and program games and look like Ashton Kutcher, etc"). This kind of sucks for me, because in addition to being my programming-man, he was also my best friend. I cried for a week. Well, maybe not (I was kind of busy) but I definitely thought it would be pretty gay if I cried for a week. Which in my book is almost the same thing.

P.S. For people who have difficulty connecting dots or are new(hi!) I'm the "Mark" he's referring to in his post.

We were working on another airplane project, Angels 2X, but it was only in um, pre-pre-pre-Alpha stage by the time he left. I have it on my HD somewhere, so I might get around to putting up screenshots sometime.

About a week ago I actually got to speak to the ol' Hainline, who had a day off before getting sent into the woods to come to grips with his frail humanity(or something). He was apparently doing quite well, which is measured in Basic by how often you get yelled at- apparently not that often for him.
His crowning achievement story was that he managed to know most if not all the acronyms a pilot who came to speak to them threw out(but didn't expect them to know). He would ask them things like if they knew what a FAC was (Forward Air Controller), what a SDB was (Small Diameter Bomb), and what a SOP was (Standard Operating Procedure), and Hainline would always have the right answer, apparently impressing the pilot and making his classmates go utter an unspoken WTF?
Anyway, it was a story I could appreciate.

To close this unusually personal paragraph, I submit a gross violation of Sir Sapo's privacy, in a picture I took of him when he took me gliding:

"I'll be looking over your shoulder- but only because I got your back!"

The REAL Reason for Posting...

... is that Bungie is a bunch of cheaters:

Also, I'm getting terribly excited over the pictures of this gun. It's just so... perfect.

Alright, I better be getting to bed. I'll try to post more often- look for MARK PRESENTS COLLEGE GIRLS GONE WILD!!! in about a month or so.

Goodnight.
