TL;DR or (No Images, no care)

I am well aware that if a journal post contains no images it tends to get no meaningful feedback.

So, since I am not yet ready to release new screens of Revel; I won't waste your time exaustively listing development minutua that it seems no one cares about.

Instead, I will merely state that development has been going strong; stronger in fact than during the summer; and I've managed to attract several new faces to the project who are bolstering development.

Our march to the sea right now is to get revel back into public showing form, and regular weekly/bi-weekly updates.

[words, words, words....]

You may be right, I don't know, I didn't actually read your post. I'm only here because you showed me the link in chat. Freaking Facebookification...

This journal entry would be much better as a tweet. I suggest:

progress made being on #revelimmortal
@randompeople @toget @theirattention
#indiedev #gamedev #rpg #roxorz #hashtagsareneat
plz rt! kthnxbai

Commentary on the "developed" state of the average internet users' attention spans aside, I don't mind picture-less journal entries as long as they properly paragraphed so I'm not reading a wall of text, and if they have half-decent spelling, punctuation, and capitalization.

I tend to agree. No visual isn't an issue so long as reading is not a pain.

The above post may be quite light in content and brush on the subject though. Would've loved more meat.

At least on the GDnet journal article list, you get the same amount of space whether or not your post has an image. As opposed to pretty much every social site where you get like 600x600 pixels with an image, 600x100 without.

Even if the mouth-breathing masses only click on pretty pictures, writing out the details of what you've recently done can still be beneficial for yourself. Having a record of how far you've come can be motivating. And sometimes when you slow down to think about what you need to write, it gives you new ideas.

Congratulations on making good headway, even if we don't get to see it. :)
