Total Votes: 1132 THE ANALYSIS There's more people with 4.1 or 5.1 systems than I thought there would be, and for that we have Crative to thank with their awesome Audigy soundcard line. And now with an added channel it won't be long before we start seeing 6.1 speaker setups permeating game machines. We can also thank the developers for starting to add support for the distinct speaker channnels so you can play Doom 3 and get scared s***less when a monster creeps up behind you and you *hear* it coming from the back of the room. yipes! It's correct below but not in the actual poll.

Excellent topic. I am one of the people that is alot of time on TA doing literally nothing. I think most people here don''t know what TA is or where to find the server. And I hope it stays that way simply because TA would become to crowded.

I''m an outsider, I kinda know what it is and went hunting for a program to download or a server to connect to on IRC, no idea what I was looking for and spent nearly an hour of worthless searching. Damn you guys

Hmm I think I found the server by searching but it was just a list of dirs with some illegal ebooks and stuff on it... It did have some connection to gamedev.net though. I saw 'pouya' and a gamedev logo... hmm I wonder.

*edit* Hmm I was going to explore the server some more, but it had been replaced with:
"There's nothing here, go kill yourself.
If you're coming from GameDev and you found us on google, FUCK YOU."
hehe I guess having the poll wasn't the smartest of ideas.

Yup I found that too on my first search, twas the only match I could find on google with any combination of "tiberian" "adventure" "pouya" "gamedev" and other such keywords.

It''s gonna really annoy me now, is it ok to ask if its a program you dl or an IRC server? Do I even need to download something or am I JUST looking for a server address?

Okay, let me expalin this:

1- I'm not happy that this poll is up, but there's not much I can do about it now. The more people vote for the last option, the better.

2- I changed the webserver's main page because I don't want outsiders to take my bandwidth. If there are hotlinks on any threads, Michalson (Also a Tiberian by the way) will remove them, and if it goes out of hand, I'll just change the server's port temporarily until this stupid poll dies off.

3- There are about 50-60 active users on TA, and that's enough for now. A lot of people actually manage to find TA, and most of them don't stay for long, which is the main reason why we try to filter out the people who try to come in.

4- We actually DO work on projects and such, we just don't talk about them outside. Just the fact that TA itself is up and running for two years now is a sign of SOMEBODY working on it.

5- Lisa's second birthday is coming up in a month! ^_^
