Eternal Lands A few points about the game: * fantasy based * fully 3D with an iso view * Uses SDL and OpenGL * Newb friendly community * Player killing(PK) is limited to a few maps Its a great game, even in beta, there is a lot to do and the stability is great. The game will be free even after beta, but there will be additional content for paying subscribers. Further more, the client code is open and downloadable through anon CVS. Check the forums for more information. There are a few negatives about it, for starters there virtually no sound or music. The game has one music track, but it is very annoying. The economy is still a WIP, but for free its still good. The maps are tend to be very small.

I tried it out. Intersting game reminds me of Runescape. This one looks better though because its actually textured. I did not like the movement though i thought that was really choppy. Other than that it was a good game.

I went to give it a whirl, but when I download and go to unzip it just stops (WinXP copy and paste unzipping). I''ve tried from all the mirrors and same problem.

Friend has the same thing.

Don''t know what to tell you.

No. The file comes in fine. But when I go to unzip, it just stops for no reason during 3dobjects (not sure which object exactly). It does this with every mirror.

That''s strange. I neverhad a problem unzipping but I use Winrar. You might try another program for unzip. Built in MS zip/unzip is the evil .
