Generaly you nagotiate on a per-basis version with the cell phone publishers. check out developers.nokia.com for instance. Its a little bit differant with BREW items, but im going to take a shot in the dark and say your talking J2ME here (if you would have spent the money on brew, you probably would have known already)

nokia as i mentioned is really good at working with developers from what some of my friends in that sector of the industry have said...

Nokia
Gameloft
Jamdat mobile
Dwango
Gameplaymobile
fonearcade
Telcogames
PlayerX

These are just a very few to be going on with and their rates can be anything from 30%-70% net revenues for the developer, depending on the game(s) you want to sell. You will also have to bear in mind what territories each publisher/aggregator/portal operates in and the duration of the contract.

Doing a search will throw up hundreds more for you to get in touch with. I do not advocate that these are the best companies to go with btw but, they are some that spring to my mind straight away.

Good luck :)

alright thanks for the links guys.

i visited the nokia.com/developer site, but couldn't figure out how to get started there? i got to the preminet link thing, but all it showed was more info about preminet solution (nowhere to sign up?)

whoops yup it's there. hehe thanks! (although it turns out i'll still be getting to the preminet website/link, and there it says to email them if not a nokia forum PRO member).

I know it's a bit late, but I just bumped into this thread and I figured it might be of some help.

ok, i've sent email to some that i've googled, but none replied (maybe it's because i should send a demo in the email also???)

if not through email, how do i contact them? note about geography...they probably don't have an office here in our country...

i guess nobody knows? :(

shmoove - that is a fine link :)

_nomad_ - when I have approached peeps like these via e-mail, I usually attach screenshots of the game(s), what handsets they have been ported onto and a link to the company website. Depending on whom you have contacted, some will take longer to get back in touch than others - it also helps if you have more than one game to sell.

Can we see some links to screenshots and such out of interest? Getting a game published is more and mroe difficult these days, largely because:

a) Licenses rule

and

b) The cost of taking a game and getting it certed and ported is large, and publishers won't spend this money unless they can be sure they will get it back. This is certainly the case with the top tier publishers.

If I could see your game, I could probably offer a little more advice on which companies to contact, depending on the status of your title.
