Where are you going to school? What classes are you taking?

I am going to Metropolitan State College of Denver. I spent 2 years as an anthropology student, but recently switched to physics, as I want to go into space sciences (or just space :P). So I am taking Chemistry, Astronomy, and College Trig. It is a light load, mostly because they are the only classes I could take. I cannot actually take physics major classes because I have not taken calculus yet. And with my math skills degrading for 2 years, I couldnt pass the entrance exam :P. So that is next semester.

I also plan on going to a university next semester. Mostly so I can meet girls, honestly. MSCD is a commuter college, and the community is loosly knit due to that.

I'm going to South High School (the new year starts in about a week, I'll be a senior then).

I'm taking:
Ceramics
Pre Calculus
English 4
Ecomonics/Gov
TA'ing for webdesign

5 classes total. Some of my friend's are taking 5 classes and 0 period so they can leave during lunch. Web design is the only class I'm looking forward to, since the teacher knows what she's doing and let's us play games as long as we get the work in on time.

Just started highschool, and won't bother listing all the classes I'm taking (they are way too general). I wish I was at college, sounds much more interesting than re-learning fractions in math, and subjects/verbs/nouns/etc. in English. The other day we was showed how to make a table of contents in MS Word.

Note that Xiachunyi's course lists includes two labs (1 credit each) and one recitation (1 credit), all of which are add-ons to the respective main courses (3 credits each). His total credit load for that list is probably 21. Not to diminish the work (I did 19 once; I was burned out by the semester's end, and never did more than 15 again), but it's not going to eviscerate any semblance of a life he may have had previously! [smile]

unfortunately, it's sometimes necessary. especially in engineering, lots of courses are de-valued unit wise so that people take 5-6 classes and still be considered average-load in terms of number of units. it's that way because there are so many subject requirements to graduate.

You definitely don't learn as much taking 5 classes as opposed to 4, I think. Too mcuh time concentrating on the coursework and not enough on actual learning, which will bite you later if you want to do more advanced work or graduate school.

I might have to do a 5-course semester, but it'll be with fairly straightforward classes if I can help it.
