Hey Don't know if this is the right place, but someone here must know. I've been trying to use the windows distribution of libextractor to get all the metadata out of a Word document. I copied the dll's across from the 'libextractor' folder to the 'bin' and now it works for other files like mp3s, but with .doc files nothing happens. However if you upload a .doc file to the demo page on their site it works fine. Unfortunately this is out of the question for the documents I need to analyse. I'm sure one of you guys will spot some silly mistake I've made and get it to work instantly, technical geniuses that you are! Cheers

By sweet serendipity someone happened across a solution! (why didn't that come up in my googling now?)

Here's the note I left myself for next time:
Quote:
COPY DLLS FROM LIB\LIBEXTRACTOR TO BIN FOLDER
FOR DOC/XLS/PPT USE THE '-l libextractor_ole2' LIBRARY SWITCH
RENAMES WILL HAVE TO BE DONE TO GET THE DLLS 'iconv.dll' and 'intl.dll' ELSE IT WON'T BE ABLE TO FIND THEM!
