Easy now! It's early in the morning for a lot of us, and in any case, it often takes more than two hours to get a reply...

As for your question, a 3D car game that is at all realistic is a pretty complicated endeavor, especially if you're new to game development.

What programming language are you using? If you want to make a racing game, maybe 2D would be a better option (maybe this is what you're planning already).

For the track, you could use a spline of some sort. There are a lot of different approaches you could take to AI, but a simple approach might be to move the non-player cars along the spline while allowing them to speed up, slow down, and move laterally (to dodge obstacles, the player, each other, etc.).

im using C++.. uhmm,,i want to make it in 3D.. ive already made a tetris
clone 3D.. by the way,, im 17.. so i think its more complicated for me to
understand term and approaches since im still a beginner..

Thanks for your reply!!!

That's a gigantic question. Nobody is going to tell you how to make an entire racing game, and if they were it would take more than a couple of hours.

The only place on the net that I know of that answers your question is this, and that's C# with XNA, not C++.

If you want a real answer, start by telling us everything you know, in detail, then telling us what the missing pieces are. If you don't know enough to start then you probably won't know enough to make use of the answers you get, which I think is the case judging by the way you ignored jyk's suggestion of using splines.

How long have you been programming in C++?
What APIs are you familiar with?
How much math experience do you have?
How much AI experience do you have?
What other games besides tetris have you done?
How will your racing game be played?
Single player or multiplayer?
If multiplayer and online, how much networking experience?
Will your tracks be designed and loaded or just random twists and turns?
(Hint, you can make things easy by creating random tracks that don't even have to physically connect in a loop. Just show the player what the next section of track looks like...kinda like tetris!)
Where will you get your car models, scenery (trees, grandstands, spectators, road signs, etc) models, sound effects, and other art assets.
Do you know how to load all of these different types of art assets, or do you know any APIs that do it for you?

Not trying to overwhelm you. Those are just a few questions I would ask myself before I started working on a racing game. Once you answer some of those questions and develop an idea to the point that you can picture your game in your head and explain it well enough that we can also picture it, we can't help you with any details. And trust me, you will get much better help with details than with the big picture.

only tetris 3d.. im using c++ for about a year or less than a year...
i use OpenGL..no sounds yet(openal)..i load milkshape ascii,3dmax(ASE)..
no knowledge on AIs..yeah,just single player..

btw,,what are splines?? sorry for giving you a very broad question..

THANKS!!!

Spline. Briefly, a mathematical representation of a 1-smooth curve using piecewise polynomials to interpolate an ordered set of points.
