The Penny-Arcade has it and it's a feature I always try to use when I come back here (and I cry a little bit inside when it doesn't work). Basically when you hover over the link to a thread there's a little label(edit: tooltip) that pops up with the first X characters of the thread. I think the feature is neat and it often speeds up my surfing because titles aren't always the most descriptive. It's not a big deal but sometimes gamedev slows down to a halt and having the preview would probably keep me from opening ten tabs. [smile]

Sort of like how on the main GameDev.net page you can see details for the active topic threads?

edit: Actually the one on the main page doesn't show any of the content, just gives data. I'd love to see something *like* that popup but have it include the first line of the thread or something similar.
