Team name: PlayDeez Games Project name: HamQuest: The Porkseeker Saga, Chapter I Brief description: I have about 90% of a coffeebreak roguelike finished. I have decided that I want to open up the codebase to new ideas and points of view. Generally speaking, the basic requirements are set, but there is still quite a bit of wiggle room. Target aim: Short term target aim is to get the game done, and the winforms renderer done. Longer term, the aim is to also make an XNA renderer and a Silverlight renderer, both consuming the same game assemblies as the winform renderer. Compensation: No money. I believe in appropriate credit where it is due. Technology: Visual C# 2008 Express (currently, and for the rest of completing the winforms render and XNA renderer) SVN (repository hosted on assembla) Talent needed: I am a developer, but I am open to other developers, especially those seeking to better learn or practice their craft. I am not an artist, as can be seen from the in-game art. A pixel artist would be a wonderful asset. I can write documentation, but I don't much care for doing so, so if I get a volunteer, then that's great. I am not a sound guy. Granted, there is not much for the sound guy to do yet, and his work will be lumped together around the same time. I test my stuff, but more testers is good. Team structure: Me: grand pubah of all things HamQuest Website: Assembla space: http://www.assembla.com/spaces/hamquest Contacts: PM here is good. Reply here is good. You can go and get the source code RIGHT NOW (use the link above, and there are rough instructions on doing so), look it over, see if you want to work on it. Previous Work by Team: http://www.playdeez.com Additional Info: This is not a fast moving project. HamQuest has been developed with alternating periods of intense focus and utter neglect. I do not expect it to be done today, this week, this month, or this year. I put milestone dates with an expectation that they are likely to march out over time. Working on this project will require an assembla account. While I will listen to whatever feedback on the game I find, it is best to be on the assembla space to submit tickets and so on. Feedback: ANY
