Check out my map editor here... http://members.xoom.com/lilgizmo/projects/valmap.zip I''m probably a little bias, but I think it''s pretty good, except of course it''s a DOS application. Let me hear what you think.

This is a very good iso editor.I wonder why don''t you transfer it to Windows.I would like to see a better and more helpful interface,so i would like to say that you should do this in windowed mode(like the starcraft map editor).
Another thing:When i try to animate tiles,i choose a tile,i press A,it asks for the last tile and after i choose the last tile it asks for speed. But the problem is that no number can be pressed and if i hit enter it crashes.
Anyway it was fast enough and with good tile examples.
I hope you solve the animation problem and i think you should give the map encoding algorithm so the user can transform the file in a map(or is the editor only for personal use?)

P.S.
Does the animation include only two frames(it asks for two tiles )

Here these words vilifiers and pretenders, please let me die in solitude...
I don''t really know why it would crash on you. I''ve never had any problems entering the speed value before.

The animation can be however long you want it to be. You simply pick the first tile of the animation and then select the ending tile of the animation. It will cycle through every tile between the first and the last. Does that make more sense?

Converting the program to Windows will probably have to wait until Allegro 4.0 is released.
