I''m part of an RPG team writing an RPG. I''m trying to find a host for a CVS server, or some equivalent server. Everyone has win95/win98 and I have only found cvs servers that run on winNT/2000 and linux. I was hoping someone knows a site or person who would host it for free. Or knows of an equivilent server that runs on win98. By the way I don''t need your flames about writing an RPG.

Try www.SourceForge.net. I think they have a windows client for their CVS server.

They are free, but they also require that your application (or game) is open source in order to host it.

Could be nice if GameDev offered some kind of hosting of game developement. In return the game developers could "pay" them by writting articles on their methods and techniques.

Thanks, but I don''t think the other people on the team want the project to be open source.

Problem solved. I did a very rough port of the server to win95. It wasn''t easy since win9x does not support named pipes, and it doesn''t seem to let you use a socket created in another process.
