I have a quick question for you all. We''ve recently starting testing a new search engine in the reference section pages. We have it indexing a large portion of our site including some of the forums and now all of our articles as well. The descriptions contain some short excerpts from the articles, which is useful. I''m curious to find out what other people think of the results.
Good quality, bad quality.. did the results come fast enough?

I quickly entered "Winsock" and got an answer almost as quickly. The speed was very satisfactory to me. The search results all seemed to have to do with network programming or Winsock itself.
I also like having the forums included because sometimes someone with a lot of insight can answer a question never addressed in an article.

Whoa! Much better than last time I tried using that many moons ago. I might actually start using it now.
I did get 2001 hits searching for "Regis smacks Kathy Lee while saying is that your final answer?" in under one second, however they all scored in the S.O.L. range. Oops! My bad, I realized I''ve missed my regularly scheduled medication treatment.

Agent1 nailed it on right on the head. The forums being included is a very cool feature. Speed is more than acceptable. I even found a thread - I was looking for manually without success for over 2 hours - on the first page of hits.
Make it a standard feature of GDnet or I''ll start skipping my medication entirely.
