We are developing a gaming curriculum and course material for one of the US Universities, ''Game Software Project'' being one of the courses in this curriculum. The course material consists of book for the course and associated instructor resources. We are looking for authors for this book. This will be a project that the students will submit at the end of the course. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to: - Work in a specific role to develop a game. - Work according to a plan to develop a game - Work through peer reviews to improve the requirements, design, code, or delivery of a game. - Able to plan tasks according to assignments listed in a development plan - Able to contribute to the project plan of the game. - Test code for the game. - Write or test code, produce documentation, gather requirements, or in some other way contribute directly to the construction of the game. - Explain how a given component of a game consisted of a given set of classes and answered a given set of functionality detailed in the requirements. - Explain how software configuration management was conducted for the development effort. - Explain tasks as detailed in the software development plan and the portion of the product delivered in response to these tasks. - Describe iterative development and the role of risk analysis in the iterative process. - Describe incremental efforts. - Explain how to create a design from a set of requirements - Explain in detail how to create a software design on the basis of the requirements effort This is a 54 hrs course with 36 hrs of theory and 18 hrs of lab spread over 9 weeks. We are looking for experts who have at least some of these pre-requisites: 1. Taught the subject in a University 2. Published articles/books on the subject 3. Have working experience in the gaming field 4. Have strong educational credentials 5. Excellent English writing skills It would be great if you could partner with us in the development of the book. The book will have 250 - 300 printed page. Each chapter has the following components - chapter content, lab questions, sample documents, detailed project completion and evaluation guidelines homework exercises, practice questions, and teaching methodology.
