BTW: I also have a lot of Game Developer Magazine to sell. Send an email to nosfy@hotmail.com if you are interested, I will give more details by email.

Why is this?
Because it is very time consuming and it won't be profitable in a near future. I began to work on another project (a service for the web targeted at small company) and this is very very promising. I will concentrate on that instead. The service is not fully developed and there is already demand for it.
Game development learned me a lot of things: modeling, photoshop, focusing more on data driven code, performance, drawing (yup I took lessons!), etc. This is not lost, far from it!
I will continue to code stuff related to games. I still like to code graphical effects. It's just that I'm not going to try to make a game. In fact I'm keeping a few books in my library (AI Game Programming Wisdom serie, Game Scripting Mastery, The CG Tutorials, GPU Gems, etc).
I invested a lot in game dev in the last three years, a few thousands: went to GDC twice (pass + hotel + airplane + food + expenditures), bought specialised hardware like a 9x12 graphic table, lots of books, etc. I can't see how I could get this investment back in the short term.
I own my web development company since 1999 and I want to expand it now. So it's mostly a matter of refocusing my efforts on more profitability!! ;-)
