Very simple - too simple - site.
Get rid of the background image it makes the site looks amaturish and annoys when you try to read. Use 1 color bk or a very soft texture (Same color, 2-3 shades max). Get rid of the frames. Concentrate on content. If you don''t have any WRITE, don''t expect people to contribute if you can''t do it yourself.

All depends what you want your site to be. At the monent, it''s nothing more then I''m-10-and-I-got-an-html-book site, sorry...

Hey, at least the link to his site works,
and that was a really stupid way to give feedback.
I know of instances when a background image can work, although i dont think it will here.
BTW there is no such thing as to simple; If it gets your point across it''s enough. If you absolutely must add ''showy'' stuff to your site do so in moderation.
For gods sake was there any need for that. I happen to like frames they make my site a lot easier to navigate around. Would you prefer a white page with a few links? Background image is new and I wasn''t sure if it would work it hasn''t it''s going.

You''ve probably guessed from the image I''m less than artistic

Thanks for the constructive feedback InsanityX.

First of all, It was not my purpose to insult anyone.
Please notice I actually suggested what needs to be fixed and didn't write something like 'could be better'. I could have gone by without saying nothing, either, which is the most insulting thing.

I might not be a super designer but I do got several years experience with webdesign. I was expressing MY opinion in order of preventing other, less polite, people to say less-polite things.

A backgroud image is good, as long as the file size is small (for fast downloads) and it fits the design of the site. Frames aren't such a bad thing - it all depends on _what kind of site_ you're doing. Design can be totally different from one type to another.

However, using the frames like I've saw on that site is space consuming and seems very amaturish cause there isn't one look for the whole site. Frames are good if you want the text, say, appear inside a circle, and people be able to browse the text inside that circle. But again, I'm not going to teach any webdesign here, there are other sites for this kind of thing. As a general rule try to avoid backgrouds with contrasting colors (black-white in your case) cause it makes reading very hard.

I'll better stop here before InsanityX will find another line that makes me evil...

Cheers,

What do you mean by one look for the whole site? Every page uses the same stylesheet do they all have the same colour scheme. You''ve got me curious now.

Hi

First of all I think this ''welcome to my homepage'' entry is completly useless, it just costs more time to get on your homepage.
Then I had problems to resd the news because of this black-white-black-white background of the line

7:33 PM DirectDraw Article On The Way

I only could read:

(black) M DirectDraw(black)e Way

Furthermore it''s hard to concentrate on the text because of the main background.

Tis is meant as constructive feedback, and I''m sorry I have nothing better to say about your page.
May the force be with you
