Setting the mode to 640x480

Hey guys, I am working on a game library right now. I can set the mode to 13h but let's be realistic here, NO ONE USES IT ANYMORE! So how can I change the mode to 640 x 480? Please help. Thanks.

You didn't mention anything about your enviroment. I can assume it's not DirectX / Win32 but is it DOS? are you trying to use VESA drivers? etc....more detail please
