.x format
The .X Direct3D format doesn't support vertex animation either. I've been working with DirectX 5 (haven't had the chance to download the DX6 SDK), and I don't think the .x format supports vertex animation.
Please help me.
i have a problem
i use conv3ds to convert a 3ds to an x file.
a human character.
but when the convertion is done i dont see vertex animation. i only see transform, rotate and scale.
i learn that 3ds format is not support vertex animation so i need to convert a max format into an x format.
any idea of how to convert max to x?
please.

the 3dsmax file format isn't public.
I don't know if .3ds contains vertex animation, if it does read .3ds directly(there are some specs on wotsit.org)
if not, you probably have to write an export plugin for max.
