Cheyenne Cloud, LLC is pleased to announce the opening of the Destiny3D Game Developer Support Site (http://www.destiny3d.com) on Friday, August 24th. Destiny3D is the next version of the highly popular, open source Genesis3D Game Engine set to be released in the Late 2001 / Early 2002 timeframe. Genesis3D was originally released in 1999 and has an estimated worldwide audience exceeding one million aspiring game developers. Genesis3D has been featured in numerous published books, magazines and the popular Game Developer Starter Kit software package. Destiny3D will continue the Genesis3D tradition as an open source, much-updated version of the original. A ten-member development team has been hard at work creating Destiny3D since September of last year. The new game engine is set to compete with other modern 3D game engines by offering similar features and much enhanced development tools. The Destiny3D Game Developer Support Site offers a unique concept in providing support for open source game engines. The site features the traditional public area as well as a private subscription-based membership area. The membership area offers much enhanced support for the aspiring game developer community with features including training tutorials, advanced software tools, on-line books, early views of engine development and a dedicated staff of artists creating textures and models for member''s use. The member subscription fees are in turn used to fund further development on the Destiny3D Engine.
