Brief description:
I am hosting an online game that is growing more and more popular on a daily basis. It is still very small in playerbase but has already begun making a profit. I am looking for some programming help so that I can focus on other major aspects of making the game successful such as marketing, PR work, Search engine optimization, etc.
Target aim:
Free to play, pay for perk donation system. Micro transactions are a very popular form of doing business now in games like this.
Compensation:
We can negotiate this. I am very open to splitting revenue in a fair manner.
Technology:
Java OOP, Linux system administration desired but not required. Any networking experience dealing with database servers, storage area networks, etc also a big plus.Talent needed:
I am looking for one very well established java programmer who is capable of quickly learning an existing framework and improving upon it as well as implementing new features. You must be familiar with client/server technology. GUI experience is also recommended as we will need to do work on the client as well. The client can be downloaded or played from the web, I currently only have an option to play it from the web, in a signed jar package.
Team structure:
Just me. A full time computer science student. I am 29 years old and very responsible. Quitting is not something I'm familiar with.
Website:
Please PM me for website information, I don't wish to disclose it on a public forum.
Contacts:
PM me through gamedev.net and I'll get a notification on my blackberry, I will respond quickly.
Previous Work by Team:
none
Additional Info:
Please PM me I will let you access the fully working game. It should also be noted that this isn't a project that will require 4 years of work before you see an end product. The game is already online and working, and we only need to improve it at this point. The community around the game is growing larger on a daily basis. Around 10 new signups per day.
