Game Overview

Galactic Grand Prix is a science fiction racing video game. The game is set approximately 60
years into the future where humans control an interstellar empire in a very vibrant universe filled with alien life. Ehzedar Industries, a human weapons manufacturing company, is hosting a massive race taking place on various planets scattered throughout the galaxy. The racetrack settings range from huge cities to sun-baked deserts to vibrant jungles. You, the player, must complete (and win) all of the races in order to win a share of the company which is worth over forty trillion credits (currency).

The game also features a theatre mode (replay) and (may) feature a multiplayer mode in which you can battle against your friends for cash to upgrade your vehicles or purchase new ones. The theatre mode lets you view your race from different angles after the fact, in order to evaluate your mistakes, develop strategies, or just to watch yourself be awesome. The game features 23 vehicles and 12 race tracks to begin with, however later on we will be adding more of both, along with more modes and features in free updates! So, this summer, be prepared for the most epic sci-fi racing experience yet.

Pending Release Date: Summer 2012

Positions

I am trying to keep the team relatively small, so assignments and such can be more organized. The positions are available below. (Perhaps one person per position or if members specialize in multiple fields).

Programmers: Programming assignments will be completed in UnityScript and C-Sharp. The programmers will be writing the AI systems, vehicle locomotion systems, and any additional scripting. I am aware there that are script packages already available on the Asset Store and have also considered purchasing these.

Environmental Artists: Environmental Artists will be responsible for creation of the racing environments.

Vehicle Artists: Vehicle Artists will be responsible for the modeling of the vehicles.

Composers: Composers will be responsible for sound effects and musical soundtracks for the game.

Concept Artists: Concept Artists will be responsible for designing vehicles and creating art concepts and directions.

Team Members

Jordan Walker: Programmer, Environmental Artist, Vehicle Designer (Not Listed Above), GUI Designer (Not Listed Above)

Bálint Nagy: Vehicle Artist, Environmental Artist

Additional Information

I am currently working on a game development document. All of the race courses, but one, have been mostly planned. The game mechanics, art directions, and such are already there. All that's left is the actual game and content along with some smaller scale, additional planning. The game has a pretty solid backstory and fiction, interested players can dive into, such as planet history. Some prototyping has been done. We should have a demo or trailer available within a month with a solid team.

Interested?

If you are interested in the project or/and have other questions, you can pm me or contact me at nano.amir@gmail.com. We also have a temporary website at: http://galacticgrandprix.weebly.com. Thanks in advance!

The white thing is an unfinished door, I took it off to work on the interior which I didn't get started yet.

Screenshots of Infiné, no structures or map geometry were shown, I'll wait 'till I'm done to show it. Just nature for now.

I would like to take the position of being the Music Composer for your project here.

My name is Jose and I have been writing music for several years now. I have gone to school for music composition and write for orchestra, and chamber orchestra. And I am continuing with my training and education in the field of music composition. Some of my samples can be found here: http://soundcloud.com/leosmithii.

Leo Smith II is my pseudonym (fake name) I use since many competitions require it so the judges are not biased toward any given name.

I have also sent you an email.

Are the screenshots not showing up? Someone told me that they didn't see any images, I think I've fixed it but I'm not sure.
