Team name:
Games Foundry Limited

Project name:
Folk Tale

Brief description:
Dive into the comedy-fantasy world of Folk Tale and lead your illiterate subjects to greatness, in spite of their moronic efforts to undermine you. Build a thriving economy, harvest resources, construct buildings and amass vast wealth, before losing it all on a doomed adventure through frozen wastes, volcanoes, and stinking swamps. For more info please visit www.gamesfoundry.com.

Target aim:
The single-level playable demo is 70% complete (see signature links). We aim to finalise the demo by Spring 2012 with a view to showing the game to publishers and venture capitalists. We are also considering crowd funding. Funding already exists for external costs such as professional voice acting and marketing.

Compensation:
Collaboration only, for a share of net profits based on time contributed, under contract. Great way to expand your portfolio on a great looking title working with a solid team.

Technology:
Unity3D Pro. Initial target platforms are standalone PC and Mac. Please note, you do not require Unity to contribute to this project.

Talent needed:
Skilled individuals able to provide on average 10+ hours a week to the project on an ongoing basis. No college kids or beginners thanks. We are looking to fill the following roles:

- [color="red"]Texture Artist to create hand-painted tiled diffuse maps for environment and building objects
- [color="#ff8c00"]3ds Max Animator to skin and animate characters modelled by the other artists
- [color="#dda0dd"]Concept Artist to visualise building designs

Looks very nice, may be successful, I say good luck to you all! :) I have faith.
Looks good. Unfortunately, I can't contribute to this project since I need more practice. But good luck! Like what I'm seeing.
We're excited about making the main feature section of IndieGameMag.com and wanted to share it with everyone.

It looks good, you've obviously got a dedicated team. I understand your currently working on but can i make one minor suggestion. I would lose the names above the characters, to my mind it spoils the immersion in the game and pleasant backdrops. Obviously i dont know everything about the game so it may be necessary to have the names present.
Other than that it looks very fable esque which is alway nice.
I'm not trying to put a downer on it in any way. Just consumer/designer feedback.
@chaosavy: If we introduce multiplayer, we'd look to make certain monster races such as the goblins playable.

@Sam Boniface: We're about to try out rankings in some name titles to reflect the character level, as well as including family names. If we decide to keep names, we will add an option to turn them off.

All CC is welcomed!
