So CES is starting,and as we all know,Microsoft won't be there anymore.Does anybody know if Microsoft has it's own event similiar to CES?

Previous to CES I had heard that Apple kind of made CES unappealing for major announcements, because they just throw individual events and get a press monopoly for a couple weeks. I think a lot of bigger companies are starting to follow suit. Why waste trade shows for announcements when you can get more press announcing on your own and then demo-ing at a trade show later?

 

That said, MS just released Windows 8 and had a slew of events announcing everything and the kitchen sink just 2 months ago. They probably didn't have a lot of new things to show.
