Im asking this because id like to be able to see all posts i've made since i created my account but i can't seem to go back further than a year or so. But i know there still here since i have some bookmarks to some old posts i've made in 2009-2010.
That would be a really great feature to have imo.
In that little dropdown thing at the top of the page with your user ID on it is a link to "My Content" which I believe will show you all the threads you've posted to.
I don't think I've seen any way though to browse though old threads that you haven't posted to.

All the old posts are still there, but the database doesn't track poster information past that point.
I don't think that's the reason. The "My Content" tab actively stops displaying results past a year ago from the current date. For instance right now it says:
There have been 714 items by Bacterius (Search limited from 28-June 12)
And tomorrow it would say "search limited from 29-June 12", and so on.
That said you can try to dig up your old posts via google. Try "site:gamedev.net "started by [your username]"" or "site:gamedev.net "posted by [your username]"" etc.. (with the inner quotes to get exact hits - also add in some date keywords if you feel extra lucky)
That's not bad though, i can see all my post since 2007 and only have 7 pages.
Some of us have ridiculous posting frequency...
Mine hits 40 pages in 2010, so I'm missing 7 years of posts :)
