This thread here is for the actual submission of contest entries (and for non-administration/organization discussion). The competition has officially begun! The competition is over! The theme is: What if the dinosaurs had never gone extinct?Note: this is all I will say about the theme; I will leave it to you to creatively incorporate it into your game. For rules and additional details, see the administration thread (and feel free to ask any questions). I'll repeat some notes here, though, for convenience: To submit a game, just post it to this thread. Don't worry if you're not on the interested or team lists in the administration thread; anyone is welcome to post a game during the competition (posting a game in the thread is all you need to do to officially enter into the competition). I highly encourage participants to post their games here at least a few days before the competition ends and for GDNet users to download these games, test them out, and give feedback (especially if there are bugs or crashes). You can resubmit/update your game during the competition with updates/fixes/changes/whatever. Only your latest/most recent entry will be judged (but must be submitted before the competition ends). Well, this is all I have so far:

(The ground texture is from my WIP non-competition game)

But come thursday night, I think I'll have things looking beautifully in-game.

Well I haven't had time to make anything at all yet other than writing down a few notes. If I get a chance to make a game it will probably be a platformer starring mammals, but I won't say more than that.

Managed to work on rather mundane inner workings. Scripting is now working, also level win check and prepare next level are implemented. Currently trying to add lots of diverse obstacles, as the gameplay is not really difficult at all.

I wish I were unemployed again so I could dedicate full time for this competition, but can't make an entry. The posted ones look awesome, so one eye is crying and the other is laughing. The third is itching at the moment because of this cursed allergy.
