I never really bothered with this...but my chair sucks, its not comfortable, and I spend too much time on it...

Whats the best kind of chair to get long hours programming on?

Make sure it has a sturdy back. I personally cant stand stools, as thats basically what they would be.

But a very cheap quality one, I already broke the back so much I like to recline, I literally put my feets on the table (on the sides of the notebook) and trow all my weight on the back almost lying on it (not when programming, but when watching stuff). Such nice fall when it broke.. now its all skewed backwards..Its has so poor padding that I put my pillow on it.

I was wondering if buying online is a good idea, since you cant test it.. Wouldnt the quality of the chair be affected by your heigh? Im 1.86 m tall.

Maybe a curve thats suppose to lay your head on will get only to my neck or something like that.

Nothing fancy, but its fairly cheap, comfortable (for me), and gets the job done.

A chair is super personal however, so your best bet is really to go to a sketchy furniture store and some out.
