Multiple animations in one .dae file(blender doesn't support this)

Guys, I have 80-90 animations and I can't have 80-90 files for every animation, it doesn't seem right to me. Although I see old games with a different MDL file for every animation, it's not pretty and I don't want it.

What I did until now:

Checked Blender forums, the guys said that Blender doesn't support multiple animations and when you export, only the active animation is exported. But I'm using assimp, and assimp supports multiple anims and it's really easy to switch to different animations ( just change the index in mAnimations ).

One guy proposed 4 things.

  1. Fix the exporter (or convince someone to do it for you.
  2. Write a script that loops through the actions and exports a new file for each action.
  3. Use the NLA editor to create a track that has all the actions in sequence.
  4. Export to another format that is easier to work with.

1,2 and 4 are not possible for now. The only thing that is left is to export all animations in 1 sequence and to somehow remember the startframe and endframe of every animation, but still I don't like it, is there something else I can do, is there a modelling software that supports multiple stupid animations, or should I make 10000 files for every action? need help, desperate situation here, my mmorpg is going too slow, answer quickly, and thanks for reading this.

Have you tried the OpenGEX exporter? The exporter may or may not support what you need and OGEX is infinitely superior to Collada.

I haven't. From what I gather, OGEX seems solid, there is an export script for Blender, I will give it a try, thanks for the idea.
