Minigames instead of quick time events

Bioshock 1 had a stop time minigame (the hacking of security devices/containers(safes)/vending machines)

Bioshock2 had hacking (added a remote hack dart to make your placement more challenging) which was in real time (enemies could attack you while you eliminated automated security - including making them be on your side). This hack also had an 'Action Test' (I just read about from links above) mechanic, with narrow zones (often surrounded by 'FAIL' activator') where you get some bonus from the thing your hacking - and various gear/customization options to slow down/modify the Action Test situation).

I would expect future MMORPG games might have Palmtop/Smartphone minigames you play outside of normal game (to make use of DEAD non-playtime and reserve the Game Machine time for more interesting stuff) Mundane stuff mail/auction/commerse/fabrication also could be 'remotized' to again allow getting on with the high-powered graphics realtime playing activities.

As per the interface issue - many times in the past Ive cursed certain game makers to their seventh generation for CRAPPY interfaces (particularly on BAD console to PC ports -- even on big titles where the company HAD the resourecs to do it better).

I said to those : "I am supposed to be fighting IN the game, and shouldn't have to fight the #$%^&^& interface to get simple things done when I want to"
