I have been doing some preliminary work on a ''net version of Tradewars which will run over an internet server instead of a BBS, but I am wondering if anyone would even still wanna play that game? I know how to do it but I just wanna know if anyone thinks that game is fun. any feedback pls

Sorry to burst your bubble, but last time I checked tradewars 2002 was net playable and was also available on many MajorBBS''s, which are net reachable..
I would welcome a chance to play TradWars again. When I was younger, a local BBS in my area got to BetaTest for them, and I got SOOO hooked. Would definatley need one serious upgrade though. (I kinda miss ANSI graphics though - on second thought, NO!)
I ran a BBS for 3 years and I hated that game with a passion. It was tedious, had piss-poor graphics, and was just plain boring. If you want to do a BBS remake, do Exitilus.
I loved that game When there were enough people playing. You can use telnet and others to play tradewars on the net. But having a fresh game based on it would be great, adding your own ideas and stream-lining some of tw2000s failings.

hope to hear of progress later on
Just because the church was wrong doesn't mean Galileo wasn't a heretic. It just means he was a heretic who was right.
Well first of all I agree that the original TW2002 needed serious upgrades, and I have seen those tradewars servers through telnet etc., but have never seen a highly modernized version.
Also, I''m not doing an exact remake or anything Tradewars is just similar to what I had in mind.
