Awesome job so far everyone! Please give us your feedback on how our article efforts are going. We still need more finished articles for our May contest theme: Remake the Classics
About Me
I remember a few years back, when Kingdom Hearts first released, and I recently got a PS2 to share with my older brother (of course, when you're bigger, older, and more selfish than someone you're supposed to share with...whatever it is that is supposed to be shared is basically yours). My brother and I pulled our parents over to Gamestop to buy it. After some begging, Dad bought it, and as you can imagine, we were having seizures of excitement. When we got home that day, my brother popped in the disc, and I sat and watched as the title sequence played and my favorite video game musical score, even to the day played, "Hikari". After watching the first half hour I was hooked. The atmosphere, the story, and the gameplay, all so exciting and encapsulating. Yeah, I know it sounds really nerdy, but everyone has a piece of art that made a real impression on them. For me, it was Kingdom Hearts. By the time we'd beaten the game, I was already branded. The childish dream of being a cop or fireman diminished, and was replaced with game designer (even though at the time, I only knew I wanted to make games, not the name). Now, I still have the same dream except now I'm more educated on what I have to do to get there. My main goal is to someday open a game development studio specializing in RPGs and Action genres. I want to make games that can make a person cry, take a person's breath away, or excite someone beyond believe. I want to make some starry-eyed kid feel the same as I did. So, I'm trying to learn what I need to in order to get there. Ehh, I know no one cares, but you read up to here, right? Loser.
