What's that in the bottom left hand corner?

Kerm Martian has added a PS/2 port to his calculator (click the picture for better pictures and the original thread). He has been developing a shell, entitled DoorsCS (click for website) which sports an impressive set of GUI controls - hence the mouse!

You guys are either the sickest bastards imaginable or some sort of modern-day folk heroes. I salute you all.

I always wanted to see if it might be possible to attach a floppy drive to the TI-83+ (probably not too hard to write a device driver), but I'm shit at wiring and I dunno how much power/voltage a floppy drive wants..

I'm not sure how possible that would be - I'm pretty sure you'd need some complex external hardware. I liked working on Emerson as it's all done in software.

For the more advanced calculators (84 series), usb8x is a USB library that has a series of device drivers, including mass storage devices. As far as I'm aware FAT16 is there, somebody I know is working on FAT32 as we speak and plans to move onto FAT12 for USB floppies.
I think you need a new hobby, Ben....

:D Thanks Ravuya, I definitely take that as a complement.
