Task 7 is now complete! Sorry for the long delay, I was way too busy to even touch code since my last entry. I also worked out a few other issues with the inventory system as I found a way to duplicate items.

The HUD is very basic as seen below in the three images.

This was very basic and simple, so this concludes Task 7.

Stay tuned for my next entry with Task 8.

This looks nice. I too am in the process of displaying how much damage an enemy has taken and I kind of like the idea of not knowing exactly how much health an enemy has left. Sort of like how Baldur's Gate has solved it by displaying "injured", "badly wounded" etc. Have you thought about this in your decision?

Anyhow.. I guess it's more "old school" to display a health number. Keep up the good work!

I like that concept! I'm keeping everything as basic as possible however. Thanks for checking out my progress again! :)

Those yetis look dangerous. Especially the left hand with the claws :)

Do you do the graphics yourself or do you take it from some other source?

Everything is place holder art I made.

Congrats on the progress. What made you decide to pad unused space around all four sides of the screen like older games? I actually like the look, but did you have a practical reason or just aesthetics?

Not that aesthetics isn't practical. =)

The look is only there to resemble a more classic retro look. :)
