Hi! It's Saturday again! Time for your favourite Weekly Updates blog! This week there isn't a lot of new stuff. Instead, there was a lot of document writing, brainstorming and researching. I had my first feedback last week and have been writing all of it down. I'm sure that with a bit of simmering on the back burner these will help the game grow better. So, this post will fall a bit shorter than usual. There are still many small quality-of-life updates, so let's get right to it!

Reminder

First off, I have a small reminder for y'all. Last week I was able to put a Patreon exclusive monthly build of the game on my itch.io page. So if you really wanna try the game be sure to subscribe! As long as you subscribe, you'll have access to these monthly builds. With a subscription, you also get access to different perks altogether. If you wanna show your support and have a say on the game, subscribe!

Minor Updates

  • Fixed a bug where songs from the VaporMaker wouldn't have their album picture being shown, thus preventing the VaporMaker to play the MP3 files.
  • Fixed bugs where clicking the bottom half of a button won't trigger it at all.
  • Fixed a bug where paralyzed players would keep on moving as if they were standing on ice.
  • Changed the liana height of the jungle level so that players could freely aim their weapon without their view being blocked.
Lianas appears above the room's liana ceiling
  • Pushed the main health bars further apart
The player's health bar is slightly further to the right
  • Fixed a bug where occluded malls would unrealistically influence lights and shadows.

Next Week

Now that all pieces of feedback have been recorded I can better prioritize what to add next. A lot of new ideas came out of it, yet they still need to simmer a bit before they're ready.

But now that my priority list has been cleared, I'm planning on finally finishing my jungle challenges. There's only one left: it shouldn't take that much to complete it.

I'm also planning on building a public demo pretty soon. Now that monthly builds are up and running this shouldn't be too hard to set up. But before that, I want to finish and polish the challenges first.

Finally, I'm also planning to add another new type of secret room. It was previously higher up in my priority list but with the piece of feedback I've got, I've decided to reprioritize it.

And that about it for this week! Again, I'll like to say thank you for your time. So with that, remember to subscribe and stay awesome!

See you next week!
