Alright I'm going to skip past all the details of things everyone already knows or has some heard in some form or another. Just kidding, that's the fun stuff to talk about.

I think franchise or “popular” video games are necessary for lots of reasons. The first reason is, well being a developer and starting my own video game studio and everything, is that it helps engineers, programmers, artists, etc… to work hard and strive towards becoming the best, at least in the books of fans, fellow developers, and the game community.

I know whenever I play a really well made video game, I'm like “hellz yeah, these guys and gals are freaking awesome” or “omg, that's incredible, how did they do that, why did they do that?” “ or “ that's so much fun” there are few other things that can compare to that experience. I've always loved indie video games, and even video games on 8-bit, 16-bit, etc… its' something great. The guys that get published really go above and beyond.

On the flip side, I know there are a lot of people out there with great ideas who have the potential for greatness, and isn't that what gaming is all about, going for it! even if we miss that #*#(#E moving platform, we just have to try again. LOL

…And the really great thing is, they will always be there! The industry is going strong.
On this note, I would like to say how impressed I am(after much research) that nintendo, sony, xbox, and the game developers out there working together for the benefit of the industry and future of gaming!! Even movie studios got involved and made some incredible games. While first I thought Disney, Marvel, WB games were going to be really bad, I was super impressed, there is something definitely great about them, and the storylines are super great. You guys are awesome, so awesome, that I'm almost sorry that I'm starting my own video game studio (it's crazy hard by the way) and not working directly with you guys, and believe you me, while I know everyone has a lot of fun, its also a different kind of fun, though lots of hard work for anyone that is a crazy mathee wannabe like myself, though I love being an engineer, computer scientist, and programmer.
