I've made several paddle's for breakout, finally! I'm making a game!. Here's a look at the one currently going through my testing - I know, it's horrible, but it was _the_ best one I've made in 45 minutes..Any comments on how to improve my artwork?

What art program are you using?

On another note:

I would suggest just using the rectangle and circle functions if GIMP has those. Don't take my opinion on this subject to seriously though, I'm no Di Vinci myself. [smile]

I used the pencil for my art,but it would've been wiser to use the circle and square [grin],I just wanted to test my skills at pencil :).

Grab Blender, and model a paddle in 3D. A couple minutes with curves or a sub-surfaced box mesh, and you'd have a nicely shaded, rounded, cool-looking paddle. Apply a metallic texture and render to .TGA.

I will try, but I can't promise much better than the new one - .

dude hothead, practicing your pencil skills
with a mouse is not really productive / meaningful. lol.
the point is to use either the polygon tools provided,
or use a wacom.

I think I should learn to use the mouse before I get into that; my hand drawing is worse than drawing it with my mouse![sad]

P.S: H_o_p_s:rating++!

lmao you can't be serious.
your mouse is better than your freehand?
and using your mouse to draw isn't a step towards
drawing better with your hand.
i don't see how it would help at all.
