Tip on any anime series to watch?
I just got done watching Ghost in The Shell- SAC. It was interesting, but not as complex and thought provoking as some mentioned it to be.
I'm now looking for suggestions on similar shows, or shows more complex if possible.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
If you've seen SAC you might want to watch SAC2 ?

rank 1 - Death Note is pure awesomeness ... Very very thrilling, intoxicating - is mostly made of thought/planing battles ... the feint with the feint within the feint - addicting - ">example - ">some random amv
rank 2 - Full Metal Alchemist has by far the best plot and is one the best known anime ever - addicting - ">trailer
rank 3 - Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is like dragonball in fast forward (from crap-human to galaxy big warrior) ... very much action, goose skin, intoxicating - ">official trailer
Planetes - few action - very deep - sentimental- ">trailer
Eureka 7 - ">some amv
rank 5 - Cowboy Bebop - Near future anime - relatively realistic - great humor!
rank 4 - code geass - future - mech anime - much action - many turning points - thought battles and whatnot - season 2 is still running ">trailer

These are my all-time favourites. They are all definitely worth the time spend watching them.

Hellsing: series and OVA
Bleach: actually, not that bad
Gunslinger Girl: short but good
Elfen Lied: if you like psychology, this is for you
Mobile Suit Gundam: depicts war very well
Gundam Seed: a sort of remake of the above, not too shabby
Hokuto no Ken - Densetsu: actually there's four of them and there's very good animation quality and action. Also if you've watched the original series, you'll appreciate them more
I have more but I forget them.

Your anime suggestions so far are unsatisfactory. They distinctly lack both dragons and balls.

Planetes - few action - very deep - sentimental

Well I think of it more as a love story / story about live than "science fiction".
Imho science fiction requires action, lazars and stuff. It's more like "realistic future".
