Looking for a convenient way to play another member here at chess - he doesn't do Facebook and I don't really want to give my email address to any of these random sites I've found on Google. Anyone have any recommendations for a simple, hassle-free way to do online chess? [EDIT - never mind, rip-off found it. Thanks anyway.]

Have you considered using # (anchor) instead of ? (query) to encode the game state? It would mean having to reload the page when you actually make a move.

Very cool idea though.
Nice, neat app capn.

Regarding email addresses and random sites: I personally find services that offers free throw-away email addresses, such as mailinator, invaluable for dealing with sites of questionable moral fiber that requires a working email address.
