looking for a good free 3d game engine

i am 13 years old so i have no money and i whant to start playing around with this kind of stuf please help. ill even take advice on what to do. thank you

http://unity3d.com/ is both easy to get started in and very flexible with its .net scripting but UDK is also good.

when i try downloading unity it gives me a error and udk is way to big of a download

What error are you getting ?

[/quote] something about cant reach folder but ill know for sure in about an hour when setups done downloading again oh its downloading the setup when i get the error

[/quote] it sais this C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents\Downloads\UnitySetup-4.0.0(1).exe could not be saved, because an unknown error occurred.

Try saving to a different location.

You should keep in mind that Unity free is quite limited.

An alternative is jMonkeyEngine and MonoGame.

jMonkey is, however, a Java engine.

It's not limited at all. It just lacks a few advanced features that are completely unneeded until you are serious enough to do a big release.
