Online Game Sponsors -- Your experiences/suggestions

So I'm going to be completing my first full game fairly shortly, and I plan on uploading it to a site like Kongregate.com or Armor Games, but I'm unsure about the best way to proceed.

It's a casual shooter/survival/pixel game and I'm wondering if anyone's got any advice or experiences to share when it comes to sponsorships/online monetization.

Has anyone had any experience with Armor Games or Kongregate? Armor Games says they'll pay between $1,000 and $5,000 per game, but I think Kongregate is on a per-play basis (similar to Youtube). What are your thoughts on the best place to get started with this kind of game, and do you know of any other/better locations to market my games?

This isn't a game job advice question. Moving to Business.

It requires you to subscribe (for free) but you'll find a large list of sponsers and publishers here: http://www.truevalhalla.com/blog/list-of-html5-game-publishers-sponsors#more-2093

Unfortunately I can't make a hyperlink on mobile :(.
