Please help me make a game. I don't want to use a pre-made game engine. I want to make a real one myself. It is going to be an MMORPG that shall rival World of Warcraft. If you are interested in helping me and getting credit, considering you will be one of my partners, then add me on Skype as TyrannicalNoobz

Not sure if troll...

I'm not trolling.

In that case, good luck. Don't give up once your dreams are smashed into little pieces by reality. That's the mark of someone who can truly be successful.

Please help me make a car. I don't want to use any pre-made parts. I want to make a real one myself. It is going to be an exotic sports car that shall rival Lamborghini's Veneno. You best get to work then.

throw table_exception("(? ???)? ? ???");

World of Warcraft took thousands of experienced developers about 5 years to create, and had an initial development and deployment cost over a hundred millions of dollars.

Creating a real MMO, something on par with WoW, is not something that a few inexperienced developers can chat about and create from scratch.

Can you create a multiplayer game environment? Sure, lots of people have done that. The site even has one of its forums dedicated to just that, with one link on the FAQ that shows how to get a small multiplayer world up and running with just a few hours of work.

Sometimes I wish I could +1 in this forum.

Direct3D has need of instancing, but we do not. We have plenty of glVertexAttrib calls.

I'd +1 frob for actually posting direct, clear resources to help the OP in a polite way.

If you have never made a game before, this project you propose is way over your head...at least with a code project.

I have never used this engine, but I have used one of their other SDKs and they make good stuff:

You will be able to make your dream game with it, but to try from scratch is honestly insane.

It is the same thing as wanting to play Bach's Goldberg variations in your first piano lesson.

Stay gold, Pony Boy.
