Hey everybody, final release will be uploaded soon after some brief testing & packaging.

Here's a narration of our game by myself and Kirk Roerig.

Finally got to a point where it feels like it's got enough content... I COULD add more, but that's the issue, I could just keep adding. It's in a zip, the game kind of teaches you the controls/obvious anyway. There's also a readme that lists them as well. smile.png

Hello everyone,

Here is my completed entry: Teddystein !

Here is a dropbox mirror just in case:

I hope you all enjoy it!

Hey everyone, here is my final build of Missing Marbles...

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/68091416/week_awesome_2_final/week_awesome_2.html

After doing some (very limited) play testing, I had to scrap the Turbo Boost Power Up, as it would occasionally boost you through the level bounds.

I cut the timer time down... alot to increase the challenge. Not sure if that makes the game too difficult or not (time, and you all will tell).

I originally didn't even want a timer, I wanted the player to be able to fully explore the rooms, but you know... time constraints.

I'm pretty pleased with the final product, but I do know that a bit more time & polish (and play testing) would've helped a ton.

The rest of the entries look truly amazing and I really can't wait to play them all!

Congrats to everyone who finished, everyone who started but couldn't finish, and everyone who didn't enter this time, but plans on entering the Week of Awesome III.

Now (or in about 3 hours or so)...

It's time to play the (toy based) Game!

And to everyone still working on your games...

You can do it! Get in that final push!

And then you too can treat yourself to some toy based games as well biggrin.png

Can we edit the first post of this thread with all of the downloads like the gamedev game jam's so it's easy to try all of the games?

A new judging post will be created once the competition has finished!

Unfortunately, I won't be able to submit my build. I spent too much time on art, and left with only less than one day for code. At least now I can safely say to any artists I meet in my future endeavors that I "know how it feels". biggrin.png

So, congratulations to all of you who managed to submit an entry. I'll continue working on this game, especially the design and balancing. I'm keeping the current art style though. It would be a waste if I don't use them.

That's truely unfortuante to hear=-(, hopefully next year you'll be able to do better!

Thanks for the kind words. This is my first ever game jam, and while I did know that there wouldn't be any time for any deeper design, there are lots of other factors I failed to put into my calculation, namely the actual time needed for design. It took me some time to come up with an idea, more to flesh out that idea, and a lot more for the art, which are basically hand-drawn with a mouse, since I really can't find any free art online that suits my concept. :P

After finishing the game, I think I'll try entering another jam. It's a good method to train your planning skill and composure. :)

sorry, posted this by accident.

We are packing the game now.... should be ready for upload within an hour!
