Hi All,

in order to go on developing our engine for the managemente part of the game, we are looking for some front images of various medieval buildings to use. they are gonna be employed just as a temporary placeholders while our modeler finishes other stuff, so just for demo use only, and maybe for some footage used just to display the gameplay and not the final game (for the final version we will use our own ones).

In order to have some coherence in the screenshots they should be ideally coming from renderings of 3d models. (for the development doesn't matter, but having some screenshots with pixel art while the whole game is made out of rendered models, would look really out of place).

If you have anything to suggest they would be more than welcome!

Cheers,

H

If you want to sell your game later on, then using placeholder art for this purpose is in fact marketing with an commercial intention. It is like a trailer, a presentation, a booth, a markting action , thought of temporary duration and not part of the final product, but with the intention to increase the profit.

With this in mind, it could be worthwhile to buy some professional placeholder art, or even a professional ingame model set to start from. Taking a look at your journal, you are already seem to have a high art standard, therefor don't try to use some free (=not the best quality) placeholder art.

There is some medieval buildings over at opengameart. They have a prefab set for creating different variation as well as someone has created a set ready to use using the prefab pieces. So you can use the actual models or use blender to create 2d images from the models.
