The forums seem to be loading very slowly for me today, and it seems to be related to the banner graphic which should be on the top of the page.
All I get (after a time-out period) is a "broken image" image.
Windows 10, Chrome.
The image it's trying to load right now seems to be:

With the banner pointing to:
http://www.gamedev.net/index.php?app=nexus&module=promotion§ion=adclick&id=5
The slowness and the unreachable image seem to be unrelated.
I just got another banner ad which loaded correctly, but the slowness persisted.
Seems better for me now.
Hello. I do not know if it is related but accessing the screenshot showdown page (http://www.gamedev.net/page/showdown/browse.html?view=top_week) is really slow since a few days. It took me nearly 3 minutes to get it loaded. It is the same when loading a forum page with the IOTD at its side like http://www.gamedev.net/forum/4-gdnet-comments-suggestions-and-ideas/ or the page of a screenshot like http://www.gamedev.net/page/showdown/view.html/_/jettoast-r142564. The other pages of the site are loading without problem.
