Systems are returning to normal.
Ok, it seems they got the boiler fixed this morning, taking a while to heat the building back up but at least I got a hot shower this morning. What a rough couple nights I gotta say. So everyone can stop panicking (sp?) now, I'm gonna live.

Also today is the first day back from thanksgiving break,…

I'M GONNA FREEZE TO DEATH!
Well, only nearing the end of month two here at my new apartment and now the boiler has gone out (I assume, it's Sunday and I'm not sure who to call) which means I have to hot water till it's fixed. Even more importantly, heat to the building is supplied through water baseboards, so yeah, no heat …

More progress on Squarediana Jones
Well, I was actually able to work a bit on Squarediana Jones today,
got movement, the whip, and the whip hooks implemented:

Now I need to get stuff to collect, levels, more graphics, and a title screen and I'll be good to go. So far it's actually pretty fun to play too, I think even if I don't finis…

Hmmm...School
Well, I finished my machine learning assignment last night around midnight, and I thought that was the big thing left for the week. So I go to my object-oriented design class today, and rather than a lecture we get a day to work on the homework and ask questions about it, which has been extended f…

Things.
So, things. You know, I was looking at my books the other day (because as I was furiously looking for a specific one, I managed to spread out the rest over half of my apartment), and realized all the knowledge I could have if I would just apply myself, just off the top of my head, the books of int…

Studio Apartment
Well, I moved into my new studio apartment Saturday :). I'm really enjoying it, there's not much to complain about. I mean sure it's small, and the building is pretty old, but it's plenty big for me and my stuff, and the building has been fixed up so it's actually in pretty nice shape (no weird b…

Signed the lease today!
Well, I just got back from signing the lease on a studio apartment! For a long time I just figured I'd have to live with random roommates, but after looking at a studio just for the fun of it, and then looking at the numbers, turns out I can afford one! Now, granted it's a studio apartment, which…

Grad School Continues
So here I am, waiting in my cube for class to start.

It's kinda cool really, since I'm a GTA here, I was assigned a cubicle in the grad offices, so I have a nice place to hang out here on campus and get work done (be it my own homework or grading papers or whatever) in a nice quiet environment. It'…

First Recitaion: Done
Thanks for all the Good Lucks before, I think it helped :)

Here's how my day went:

First, I was pretty nervous for my first class, so naturally that means I have to get pulled over on my way up to my uni...
Not that how I feel affects my driving, but because I have a crack in my windshield...yay. Any…

OMG First Recitation Tomorrow!
So tomorrow I have to...host?...my first recitation for the class I'm TA'ing. Now, I don't know if I've mentioned this, but I'm really not the 'stand-up-in-front-of-people-and-talk' sort of person, so I'm pretty nervous. Fortunately tomorrow all I really have to do is hand out a quiz the teacher …

My new job
Well, much to my surprise a couple weeks ago I got an email from one of the profs at my uni telling me a TA job opened up for this fall! So, I jumped on that as soon as I could and for whatever reason they're letting me be a teacher's assistant this fall! God help the students.

Anyway, this is exa…

An Update
Ok, I've been gone forever (been back for a week or two now), and this is what's basically happened from my last entry.

As I said before, I applied for grad school but was too late on the application. Well, I was looking around for some reason and made an interesting discovery on the grad school we…

2006 Ford Shelby Cobra GT500
Some of the biggest news to come out of Ford in recent history was the introduction of the new 2005 Mustang. Completely redesigned in retro style, this is the first Mustang ever to be designed completely from scratch! What does that mean? It means that this is commonly accepted as the best Musta…

Once upon a chapter's end's eve
Title 2: My life in a nutshell.

So here it is, the last Thursday of classes for my undergrad career. What's significant about Thursday? Thursdays I have to be here at 8:00 AM to open the lab (I work in a Mac lab on campus), other than that it's nothing special, not a lot of people in this early so…

Corvette Z06
I think I'm going to start making entries about cars, because I feel like it. These will most likely be newer or yet to be released cars that I find cool, but could be anything I find cool at the time. I try not to be biased towards or against any one company, or country, or any other way people …

Free Music!
Random ramblings about free music and stuff:

MP3, iPod, free music, these things have never really caught my attention much in the past, even though I am a bit of an audiophile and love listening to great music.

However, the past week or so I've taken interest in Pepsi's win a free song campaign thin…

Radical Racers is here
So I decided to go ahead and upload Radical Racers to the Showcase, I'm not sure if I feel like it's done or not, but I can always update it if I feel it is necessary. It's always a little scary showing off your work to other people, especially so many people you don't know, and especially since i…

More on Radical Racers
So I was working a little more of RR today, fixed a couple more bugs, did a little more play testing. Aside from the bugs, the biggest problem with the game is that it could be too hard, being that I've been playing it for nearly 3 years it's getting hard to tell. I have some people who said they…

Radical Racers is comming...maybe
So I was finally working a little on Radical Racers today and in addition to my usual add a track or two, I actually touched the code. Now for a while I've been debating on if I should add RR to the GDNet Showcase or not, with good reasons for both. See, RR is my "first game", and by that I mean …
