Progress Report

The actual paper offer is in. I start Monday-ish. Yay and stuff.

I love seeing threads like this. Oh, I don't get that much joy out of language war threads, but it's highly amusing to me to see the camps split right down Rating/skill/experience lines.

Progress on Moe (incarnation 7?) restarted this week, and continues slowly. I've converted the last of the containers over to the event tossing versions, added the tossing and catching for two of the exceptional message cases (tile coordinates and unit skills), linked up the events to the game tile tables, and wrapped up some code for the interpreter to generate typesafe enum parsing from a type.

A quicky test map and unit stuff is pretty much done. Next on the list then is the main window UI, map rendering and turn handling. We'll see how motivated I keep through the weekend, but it should be feasible to get the test map at least rendered.
Previous Entry Woof! Again.

I don't really care for the ratings system, but that thread does demonstrate that there's a strong correlation between a high rating and having a clue (with myself possibly being an exception to that rule [wink]).
